Pan-American
About.
The Pan-American Highway is the longest road in the world. It stretches over 14,000 miles from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina. Sometimes known as “ice to ice” this route starts in the Arctic Circle and traverses some of the most harsh environments in the world before finishing in the southernmost road-accessible town in the world. On August 28th, 2024 I will set off on my bike in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska with the intention of setting the world record for the fastest bike of the Pan-American in history.
Fundraising for a Cause.
This project is bigger than me. In honor of this attempt, I am partnering with the Honnold Foundation and the Ceibo Alliance to raise money for solar panel installation in remote areas of the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest in indigenous community centers and schools. I believe that my effort on the bike has an enormous capacity for positive social impact by inspiring people to contribute to my fundraiser.
The Route.
My journey will take me through 2 continents, 13 countries, and all 11 biomes. I will traverse 4 of the world’s 5 largest mountain ranges, the world’s largest rainforest, and the world’s driest desert. I will pass through some of the most remote regions of the world as well as some of the biggest mega-cities. My route requires over 600,000 feet of elevation gain.
